Prosalentis was born in Corfu and died in Athens.

He came from a family with a strong artistic tradition. He was the grandson of the renowned sculptor Pavlos Prosalentis (senior) and son of painter Spyridon Prosalentis, who gave him his first lessons in art. His siblings were the painters Pavlos, Eleni and Olga Prosalentis.

He studied at The School of Fine Art, Athens and later engineering in Paris.

Prosalentis is exceptional in seascapes with influence from The French School as experienced in Moonlight.

His works are in many private and public collections, notably: The National Gallery, Athens, The War Museum, Athens, The Leventis Gallery, Nicosia, The Averoff Gallery, National Bank of Greece and The Koutlides Collection.
