Based in Chicago, Star Novelty Company began prodcing jewelry in 1922. After 1940 the company changed its name to Staret.
Staret pieces were made with high-quality crystals, imitation topaz, ruby and emerald, sapphire and amethyst. Their collections included beautiful floral and patriotic-themed designs. Rice Weiner is just one of the many talented jewelry designers of the period that collaborated with the brand.
