Mimi di N Jewelry (1967-1997).
Mimi di N Jewelry was founded by Princess Mimi di Niscemi in 1962 in New York.
Madame Mimi di Niscemi was born in Palermo, Italy. She moved to the United States and studied at the Philadelphia School of Industrial Arts. While studying she worked for Schiaparelli and Arnold Scaasi jewelry houses and collaborated with Robert DeMario (1969). She was able to start her own business because of the experience she gained working for the best jewelry houses.
In the 1960s and 1970s the company’s jewelry regularly appeared in Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar and was collected by famous women such as Jacqueline Kennedy and the Duchess of Windsor.
The company ceased operations in 1997.
