Elizabeth Taylor for Avon Jewelry (1993-1997)
When Elizabeth Taylor for Avon jewelry was introduced in 1993, customers were captivated not only by the jewelry inspired by her collection but the photos of Taylor modelling several of the pieces.
Taking a closer look at this jewelry in comparison to other designer costume pieces is evident that if Taylor was going to associate her name with a jewelry line, it had to be done right. That doesn’t come cheap in costume jewelry manufacture and the price for these items was far higher than average for Avon.
The glass beads, faux pearls, rhinestones and cabochons simulating fine gemstones, moonstones and coral used to craft these designs were top quality as was the construction of each piece.
